Where good ideas come from
Something I have started doing this year is downloading podcasts from TED talks to listen to while stuck in the morning traffic. It’s a great way to avoid the lack of good conversation and music on the radio these days. Now obviously you get some that are interesting and some that are less interesting. Steve Johnson’s is one which I found particularly interesting.
He takes a look at the question, where do good ideas come from? More specifically he takes a look at which environment is best for idea generation. He also talks about the first London coffee houses and a baby incubator made entirely from car parts. Take a look/listen for yourself.
